4. To engage the blade, pull the lever down until it locks in the down position. This engages the drive
mechanism, releases the blade brake, and increases the engine speed to full throttle.
To disengage the blade, raise the clutch/brake lever to the up position. This disengages the drive
belt, engages the blade brake, and returns the engine to idle.
