SECTION 5 SAWMILL OPERATION
5.1 Power Feed
The power feed system moves the carriage forward and backward by using the two
switches on the control panel illustrated below.
See Figure 5-1.
CARRIAGE FORWARD AND REVERSE
The carriage forward/reverse drum switch controls the direction in which the carriage
travels.
NOTICE: If the forward/reverse operation is backwards, the wiring on
the Power Feed motors is reversed. Rewire the motors.
The middle position (as shown) is the neutral position. The power feed switch is designed
to return to the neutral or "off" position when released from operating in the reverse posi
-
tion. If the switch remains engaged, manually move the switch to the neutral or "off" posi-
tion and See Section 5.6.
WARNING! Ensure the power feed switch is in the neutral position
before turning the key switch to the on (#1) or accessory (#3) position
to prevent accidental carriage movement. Failure to follow this will
result in death or serious injury.
