1.13 Noise Level
See Table 1-8. The average level of noise generated by the LX50 sawmill is given in the table
below
12
.
Sawmill Noise Level:
LX50E7 L
pA
= 84 dB (A); L
WA
= 100 dB
(A)
LX50G14 L
pA
= 96 dB (A); L
WA
= 112 dB
(A)
TABLE 1-8
1. The noise level measurement was taken in accordance with PN-EN ISO 3746 Standard The noise exposure level given
above concerns an 8-hour work day. Value for associated uncertainty K=4dB.
2. The measured values refer to emission levels, not necessarily to noise levels in the workplace. Although there is a
relation between emission and exposure levels, it is not possible to determine with certainty if preventives are needed or
are not needed. The factors affecting a current level of noise exposure during work are inter alia room characteristics and
characteristics of other noise sources, e.g. number of machines and machining operations nearby. Also the permissible
exposure level can vary from country to country. This information, however, will enable the user of the machine to make a
better evaluation of the hazard and risk.
