3.9 Vertical Adjustment of Drive-Side Blade Wheel
The blade wheels must be square to the sawmill bed and parallel to each other in the vertical and
horizontal planes. If the blade wheels are tilted up or down, the blade will not be properly adjusted in
relation to the sawmill bed and sawn wood. If the blade wheels are tilted horizontally, the blade will
not track properly on the wheels.
Use the blade guide alignment tool to check the vertical alignment of each blade wheel.
1. Attach the alignment tool to the blade near the drive-side blade guide. Be sure the tool does not rest
on a tooth or burr, and is lying flat against the blade.

2. Move the saw head so the front end of the tool is positioned over the first bed rail. Measure from the
