SECTION 4 ALIGNMENT
4.1 Tension the Blade
1. Use the tension ratchet tool to center the indicator in the notch. See inset of Fig. 4-1.
NOTICE Loosen the blade tension after every use to increase blade,
wheel, and tensioner life.
4.2 Tracking the Blade
Do not spin the blade wheels by hand or spin with the blade covers open.
Until the blade is properly tracking, the blade may come off of the wheels.
Ensure the blade is disengaged and all persons are out of the path of the
blade before starting the engine or motor.
1. Clear the area.
2. Start the engine/motor.
NOTICE See the appropriate manual supplied with your specific
engine/motor configuration for starting and operating instructions.
3. Engage the blade momentarily, rotating the blade until the blade positions itself on the wheels.
4. Disengage the blade.
