4.7 Blade Height Scale Adjustment
After the entire sawmill has been aligned and all adjustments made, check that the blade height
scale indicates the true distance from the blade to the bed rails.
1. Move the saw head so the blade is positioned directly above one of the bed rails.
2. Measure from the bottom edge on a down-set tooth of the blade to the top of the bed rail.
3. Loosen the scale bracket mounting bolts and nuts, adjust the scale position until the scale indica-
tor reads the distance measured in the previous step.
4. Retighten the bracket mounting bolts and nuts.
4.8 Engine Drive Belt Adjustment
The drive belt is tensioned properly if the drive pulley is fully engaged when the clutch handle is
in the down position.
The throttle cable is adjusted properly if the engine runs at full rotational speed (3600 r.p.m.)
when the clutch handle is pushed down.
When the clutch handle is released, the engine should return to idle and the drive pulley should
stop spinning
