6.4 Vertical Mast
Clean and lubricate the vertical mast in places where the head is travelling every 50 hours of
operation. Clean with solvent and remove any rust with a light-grade sand paper or an emery cloth.
Lubricate the mast with motor oil or automatic transmission fluid (ATF).
CAUTION! Never use grease on the mast as it will collect sawdust.
6.5 Miscellaneous Lubrication
1. Oil all chains with Dexron III ATF every fifty hours of operation.
CAUTION! Do not use chain lube. It causes sawdust buildup in chain
links.
