Why won't my Woodstock Power Tool start or why does the breaker trip?
- BBrenda HernandezAug 16, 2025
Your Woodstock Power Tool might not be starting or is tripping the breaker due to several reasons. It could be that the safety key is removed from the ON/OFF switch, in which case you should replace the safety key. The plug/receptacle might be faulty or wired incorrectly, so test for good contacts and correct the wiring. Check if the power supply is at fault or switched OFF, ensuring the hot lines have the correct voltage and the main power supply is ON. A malfunctioning lockout key, faulty motor brushes, or a faulty ON/OFF switch could also be the cause; replace these parts as necessary. Also, inspect the wiring for open circuits or high resistance, repairing or replacing as needed. Finally, the motor itself might be at fault, requiring testing, repair, or replacement.
