Breaker
4.3.3.1 CBA
General notes
Circuit breaker monitoring contains two alarms: A "breaker close" alarm and a "breaker
open" alarm.
"Breaker close alarm"
If the control initiates a close of the breaker and the breaker fails to close after the
con󰈡gured number of attempts the monitoring CBA alarm will be initiated (refer to
parameter "CBA maximum attempts of closure", parameter
3419).
If this protective function is triggered, the display indicates "CBA fail to close" and the
logical command variable "08.07" will be enabled.
"Breaker open alarm"
If the control is attempting to open the circuit breaker and it fails to see that the CBA is
open within the con󰈡gured time in seconds after issuing the breaker open command then
the monitoring CBA alarm will be initiated (refer to parameter "CBA open monitoring",
parameter 3421).
If this protective function is triggered, the display indicates "CBA fail to open" and the
logical command variable "08.08" will be enabled.
