Place the spine of the blade flat onto the Reference Plate.
While keeping the blade flat, move up onto the belt surface
between the top two Pulleys and place the heel of the blade
edge onto the abrasive.
Note: The 90° Reference Plate can be raised up to be used as
an alternate Reference Plate for Angle Controlled Sharpening.
Loosen the Knob and raise the plate to the desired location.
SHARPENING
Alternate Reference Plate
Move the blade flat across the Abrasive Belt (1” per second) and stop the tip
of the knife on the middle of the belt. Then pull the blade away from the belt.
Follow the curve of the knife as you move across the belt. Keep the cutting
edge perpendicular to the travel of the belt for the best and most consistent results.
