Overview

The X-Stage/X-Stage Lite is a portable and free-standing podium stage designed for pole and aerial fitness. It offers both 'Static' and 'Spinning' modes and is designed for ease of use, high stability, and portability. The product is supplied in four purpose-made carry cases for safe storage and transportation.

Function Description:

The X-Stage/X-Stage Lite serves as a stable platform for pole and aerial fitness, allowing users to perform various moves and exercises. Its design prioritizes safety, portability, and versatility, making it suitable for both personal use and performances. The stage features a main frame, floor plates, and a multi-part pole assembly that can be configured for either static or spinning modes. The X-Joint technology ensures a strong and stable connection between pole sections.

Usage Features:

  • Assembly and Disassembly: The X-Stage/X-Stage Lite is designed for relatively straightforward assembly and disassembly. Users are advised to keep parts in their carry cases until needed to prevent damage or loss. The main frame is the heaviest component, requiring careful lifting with bent knees and a straight back to avoid injury. The frame legs fan out to form a star structure, and floor plates are secured using spring catches that insert into locating pin holes.
  • Pole Installation: The pole consists of an 'A' Pole, a Bearing Unit, a 'B' Pole, and an X-Joint. The Bearing Unit, which supports the pole and allows for mode changes, comes pre-attached to the 'A' Pole. The 'A' Pole is inserted into the stage base, ensuring it is firmly seated in the lower bearing. The 'B' Pole connects to the 'A' Pole via the X-Joint.
  • X-Joint Technology: The X-Joint is a key feature, designed for strength and stability. It expands and locks pole tubes together by inserting a hex key into hex screws and turning clockwise. Markings on the tube indicate the direction for tightening (clockwise) and loosening (anti/counter-clockwise). Keys within the joint prevent pole tubes from rotating. It is crucial to tighten the X-Joint progressively, alternating between screws, to ensure even expansion and secure locking.
  • Static/Spinning Mode Function: The X-Stage/X-Stage Lite can switch between static and spinning modes. This is achieved by tightening or loosening two hex screws located within the 'X' marked holes on the Bearing Unit using a 5mm hex key. Tightening these screws sets the pole to 'Static' mode, while loosening them allows for 'Spinning' mode. It is critical to set the pole to 'Static' mode before attempting to remove it.
  • Stabilizing Adjuster Feet: The stage is equipped with six adjuster feet on the frame legs, which allow for height adjustment and leveling on uneven floors. These feet have silicone pads to prevent slipping. Tensioning the adjuster feet is essential to minimize pole movement and ensure the stage feels level and solid.
  • Suitable Area: For safe and proper use, a minimum area of 3 meters (10 feet) in diameter is required around the stage to allow for full rotation with outstretched arms without touching obstacles.
  • Clothing and Footwear: For optimal grip, less clothing is generally recommended (unless using a Silicone Pole), with uncovered arms and legs being ideal. T-shirts, crop tops, and shorts are suggested. Bare feet are recommended, though dance shoes or trainers with smooth soles can also be used.
  • Oils and Lotions: It is strictly advised NEVER to use oils or lotions on hands or body before using the pole, as this can make the pole dangerously slippery and lead to serious accidents.
  • Warm-up and Cool-down: Pole exercise is physically demanding. Users are mandated to warm up before use and cool down afterward to prevent muscle damage, strains, and injury. Reviewing online videos for basic moves and avoiding moves beyond one's ability without an instructor is recommended. The X-Stage is designed for single-person use.
  • Additional Accessories: For advanced moves, performances, or use with an X-POLE Lyra pole, additional weights (weight plates, sandbags, or standard gym weights) are mandatory to enhance stability. These are placed over the frame legs and then covered by the floor plates.

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Checks: Prior to every use, it is important to ensure that the X-Joint is firmly tightened. Checks should also be performed every half-hour of use. Additionally, the Pole Retaining Screws and Bearing Retaining Screws must be securely fastened.
  • Screw Integrity: Users are cautioned to ensure hex keys are fully inserted into hex screws before tightening to prevent damage to screw heads. Damaged screws should be replaced immediately.
  • Cleaning: X-POLE strongly recommends using X-CLEAN with specially designed Micro-Fibre Cloths to clean and maintain the surface of XPERT Pro Poles. However, X-CLEAN should NOT be used on Brass, Powder Coated, or Silicone Poles.
  • Storage: The stage should not be stored in cold or damp places.
  • Handling: To prevent damage, users should NOT lift or carry the X-STAGE by the plates, as this can damage the spring catch pins. Dragging or sliding the X-STAGE is also prohibited, as it can damage the rubber feet.
  • Dismantling: When dismantling the pole, the m8 pole retaining screws should NOT be removed or loosened. The pole must be in 'Static' mode when removed to prevent damage.
  • Powder Coated Poles (Specific Warning): For powder-coated poles, the coating is susceptible to damage if the pole is dropped or scratched. Care must be taken when installing X-Joints or extensions to avoid damaging the powder coating. Chemical-based cleaners should NOT be used on powder-coated poles.
