Marine Installation
Drip Shield Installation
The drip shields help to protect the unit from dripping or splashing
liquids, which will cause a shock hazard when moisture comes in
contact with electrical circuits in the unit. The drip shields are
especially useful in marine installations where water from
condensation, rain, or sea may come into contact with the Freedom
Xi.
You may purchase the drip shield set by contacting customer
suppo
rt. When ordering, mention part number 808-1050.

WARNING
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
Place this unit in normally dry areas only. Operating the unit under wet
conditions may expose you to a shock hazard. Installing drip shields may
not entirely protect you from this hazard. Do not operate the unit when it
is wet.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or serious injury.
