Overview

The XtraVac RBF8 is an automatic rotary filling and sealing machine designed for pre-made pouches. It incorporates advanced technology and features to provide high-quality, high-powered, fully automatic packaging. The machine handles feeding, measuring, forming, filling, sealing, printing dates, and product carry-out. It utilizes a high-accuracy cam system, PLC control, an advanced touch screen, photocell auto-orientation tracking, and PID temperature control, making operation simple and efficient. The RBF8 is ideal for food production lines requiring high efficiency and low labor intensity.

Function Description:

The RBF8 machine is designed to process pre-made pouches through a series of automated stations. It starts by feeding pouches into the system, then opens them for filling. The filling process is controlled by an auger screw system, capable of continuously supplying and filling various products. After filling, the pouches are sealed, and a date can be printed. The machine can produce single-cut or continuous sachet packaging. Key operational units include:

  • Main Driving Unit: The core mechanism that drives the machine's rotary movement and various components.
  • Pouch Feeding Unit: Responsible for accurately feeding pre-made pouches into the system.
  • Electric Cabinet Unit: Houses the electrical controls, including the PLC, HMI, and power components.
  • Zipper Opening Unit: Specifically designed to open zippered pouches.
  • Printer Unit: For printing dates or other information on the pouches.
  • Stand-up Opening Unit: Facilitates the opening of stand-up pouches.
  • Pouch Opening Unit: General mechanism for opening pouches.
  • Protection Rail Unit: Ensures operator safety during machine operation.
  • Filling Up and Down Unit: Controls the vertical movement of the filling mechanism.
  • Pouch Shaking Unit (Optional): Helps settle product within the pouch for optimal filling.
  • Cold Sealing Unit: Performs cold sealing operations.
  • Sealing Unit: Executes the main sealing of the pouches, with temperature controlled by Omron or Yudian temperature controllers.
  • Product Out-feed Conveyor Unit: Transports finished products out of the machine.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Product: The machine is suitable for various products, though specific details are not provided.
  • Packing Material: Compatible with Nylon/PET laminate, PET/PET laminate, Nylon/Aluminum Foil/PET laminate, PET/Aluminum Foil laminate, and PET/any heat seal material laminate. It is crucial that packing materials are not flammable, explosive, or corrosive. Consultation with Alpha-Pack is recommended for special applications.
  • Capacity: 0-40 packs/min.
  • Power: 220V, 50/60 Hz, three-phase, 4KW, 15A; or 380V/3PH, 8A.
  • Machine Weight: 1000kg.
  • Air Pressure: 0.6-0.8Mpa.
  • Gas Consumption: 300NL/MIN.
  • Temperature Control: Uses Omron E5CZ or Yudian temperature controllers for sealing, with a range of 0-1000°C (Omron) or 0-400°C (Yudian), using K-type temperature sensors.
  • Control System: PLC control with advanced touch screen HMI.

Usage Features:

  • HMI Operation: The machine features an advanced Human-Machine Interface (HMI) for simple and easy operation. The main operation panel allows access to parameter settings, manual operation, function key mode, and system information.
  • Parameter Settings: Users can set various parameters such as main speed, sealing time, air blast time, filling signal amount in advance, filling time, supply material delay, supply material speed, preheat time, air blast time, fill speed, fill volume, settling time, settling cycle, spray steam delay, spray steam time, nitrogen-fill delay, nitrogen-fill time, #1 fill blowing time, #2 fill blowing time, liquid fill blowing time, and bubble suction delay. The HMI supports saving up to 20 sets of formula numbers for different products.
  • Manual Operation: A manual debugging interface allows for individual control of actions like rotation, printing, filling, hot seal, cold seal, finger width adjustment (wide/narrow), and returning to the "0" position.
  • Function Key Mode: Provides options to enable or disable features such as date print, printer heater, sealing heater, product outfeed, sealing, zipper bag, collect hopper, nitrogen-fill, stagger dump, exhaust, intermittent mixer, fill, liquid fill, grain fill, cut off blowing, fill vacuum, cleaning, and CIP reverse cleaning.
  • Safety Features: Includes emergency stop switches, safety door interlocks, and pressure detection for air and vacuum systems. The machine is designed to stop immediately in case of malfunction or emergency.
  • Temperature Control: PID control ensures precise sealing temperatures. Recommended sealing temperatures vary based on packing material (e.g., paper/polyethylene, cellophane/polyethylene, polypropylene/polyethylene).
  • Adjustments:
    • Seal Fittings: Visual guidance is provided for correct seal fittings and adjustments to the tension belt and sealer.
    • Photocell Adjustment: Detailed steps for adjusting the photocell's sensitivity and position to ensure accurate registration mark tracking.
    • Pocket Open Adjustment: Instructions for adjusting the mechanical alignment of the pocket opening mechanism.
    • Bag Suction Adjustment: Ensures correct assembly and positioning of the bag suction machine.
    • Bag Width Adjustment: Handwheel adjustment for conveyor width (L1) and gripper width (D) to suit different bag sizes.
    • Mouth from Gripper Height Adjustment: Adjusting the height of the gripper to match the pouch mouth.
    • Sealing Position Adjustment: Adjusting the height of the sealing knife using gaskets.

Maintenance Features:

  • Lubrication: Regular refilling of oil for gears, oil holes, and moving parts is crucial. Initial oil change after 40 hours of run, then every 3 months. Oil recommendations are provided based on ambient temperature (gear oil HL-20/HL-50 or machine oil HL-30/HL-50).
  • Cleaning: The machine should be cleaned at the end of each work-shift, removing residuals from measuring plates and platforms to prevent moisture issues. The photo head also requires regular cleaning.
  • Inspection: Regular checks for loosening of fix screws at every component are necessary to ensure reliable operation.
  • Electrical Parts: Care should be taken to prevent moisture and dust from affecting electrical components.
  • Component Replacement: Components must be replaced with original parts. Contact agents or manufacturers if original components are unavailable.
  • Storage: For long-term storage, the equipment should be sterile membrane packaged and stored in a cool, dry place.
  • Transportation: For long-distance transportation, the equipment should be packed in wooden cases with desiccant. If shipping by sea, sailing wood material and good anti-corrosion measures are required.
