Set the Method to use for Scanning a Memory Channel
The FT−8800R allows you to flag each Memory channel with one of three possible flags to
determine how it is handled during Memory mode scanning.
Types of Memory Channel Scan Flags
OFF
(default)
• Set Menu #37 (SKP.MSM) to MEM (default setting)
• No icon is displayed when manually selected
• Scanned during a Standard Memory scan
• Skipped during a Preferential Memory scan
SKIP
• Set Menu #37 (SKP.MSM) to SKIP
• Designated by a icon when manually selected
• Skipped during a Standard Memory scan
• Skipped during a Preferential Memory scan
MSM
• Set Menu #37 (SKP.MSM) to MSM
• Designated by a icon when manually selected
• Scanned during a Standard Memory scan
• Scanned during a Preferential Memory scan
Standard Memory Scan
During Standard Memory Scan, scanning will pause on any signal encountered that is strong
enough to open the squelch; scanning will then resume according to the Scan-Resume mode
that was selected. See Set the Scan-Resume Preference on page 46 for details.
