If any abnormality is noticed during this
period,
ask your Yamaha dealer to check.
1.
0-500 km (0-300 mi):
Avoid Operation above 4,000 r/min.
Allow a cooling off period of 5 to 10
minutes after every hour of Operation.
Vary the speed of the motorcycle from
time to time. Do not operate it at one,
set throttle position.
2.
500-1,000 km (300 - 600 mi):
Avoid prolonged Operation above 5,000
r/min. Allow the motorcycle to rev freely
through the gears but do not use füll
throttle at any time.
3. 1,000 km (600 mi) and beyond:
Avoid prolonged füll throttle Operation.
Avoid engine speeds in excess of 7,000
r/min. Vary speeds occasionally.
