3. Tighten:
• Cap bolt “1”
• Handlebar bolt “2”
• Handlebar pinch bolt “3”
• Upper bracket pinch bolt “4”
4. Check:
• Cable routing
Make sure the brake hose, throttle cables,
clutch cable, and handlebar switch leads are
routed properly. Refer to “CABLE ROUTING”
on page 2-49.
5. Install:
• Plastic band “1”
Fasten the front brake hose to the right front
fork leg with the plastic locking tie.
6. Adjust:
• Spring preload
• Rebound damping
• Compression damping
Refer to “ADJUSTING THE FRONT
FORK LEGS” on page 3-25.
Cap bolt
20 Nm (2.0 m·kgf, 14 ft·lbf)
Handlebar bolt
13 Nm (1.3 m·kgf, 9.4 ft·lbf)
Handlebar pinch bolt
16 Nm (1.6 m·kgf, 11 ft·lbf)
Upper bracket pinch bolt
26 Nm (2.6 m·kgf, 19 ft·lbf)
