3. Remove the 4 mm screw from the spark arrester, and
remove the spark arrester from the muffler.

4. Use a brush to remove carbon deposits from the spark
arrester screen. Be careful to avoid damaging the screen.
The spark arrester must
be free of breaks and holes. Replace
the spark arrester
if it is damaged.
5. Install the spark arrester, muffler protector, and exhaust
deflector in the reverse order
of disassembly.
Never use an engine without an appropriate spark
arrester
in the forest areas! Doing so may cause a fire!
