EN 45 YASKAWA Europe TOEP C710616 92D AC Drive L1000H Quick Start Guide
10 EN81-1 Conform Circuit with one Motor Contactor
10 EN81-1 Conform Circuit with one Motor Contactor
Installation
The safe disable circuit can be utilized to install the drive in an elevator system using only one motor contactor instead of
two. In such a system the following guidelines must be followed to comply with EN81-1:1998:
The circuit must be designed so that the inputs H1 and H2 are opened and the drive output shuts off when the safety
chain is interrupted.
A drive digital output must be programmed as Safe Disable Status (H2- = 58). This feedback signal must be
implemented in the contactor supervision circuit of the controller that prevents a restart in case of a fault in the Safe
Disable circuit or the motor contactor.
All contactors and wiring must be selected and installed in compliance with EN81-1:1998.
The safe disable inputs H1 and H2 must be used to enable/disable the drive. The input logic must be set to Source
Mode, i.e. jumper S3 must be set like shown below.
The figure below shows a wiring example.
Note: 1. The drive output will immediately shut off when either of the inputs H1 or H2 is opened. In this case the brake should apply immediately
in order to prevent uncontrolled movement of the elevator.
2. Terminals H1 and H2 must be closed prior to setting the Up/Down command.
