Removing the Black Bar Sensor
Assembly
1. Disconnect the Black Bar Sensor
Cable (J3) on the Top PCBA.
2. Remove the Media Tub Assembly
from the Lower Housing as detailed on
page 2-24.
3. Remove the Media Cover Assembly
as detailed on page 2-36.
4. Remove the Platen Holder Assembly
from the Media Cover Frame by
removing the three (screws) with a T8
TORX driver. as shown.
5. Use a T6 TORX driver to remove
the single screw located on the platen
mount plate on the platen gear end
(see inset).
6. Slide the Platen Roller Assembly
(along with its mount plate) out of the
Platen Holder.
7. Use a T8 driver to remove the two
(2) screws that hold the Scraper to the
Platen Holder Sub-Assembly.
