Installing the Black Bar Sensor
Assembly
1. Install the Black Bar Assembly into
the Platen Holder (as shown).
2. Verify that the sensor is aligned
in the hole on the front of the Platen
Holder (see inset).
3. Turn the Platen Holder over and
route the cable as shown.
4. Install the non-gear end of the Platen
Assembly into the mount plate on the
Platen Holder.
5. Secure the mount plate on the gear
end of the Platen Assembly to the
Platen Holder with a T6 Torx Driver (4.7
+/- 1 in. lb.).
6. Use a T8 driver (2.5 +/- 1 in. lb.) to
secure the scraper onto the Platen
Holder Sub-Assembly.
7. Snap the Platen Holder Assembly
onto the Media Cover Frame and
secure it with three (3) screws using a
T8 driver (2.5 +/- 1 in. lb.)
