E. Aim the URC at your device and repeatedly press the POWER button once or
twice a second. The URC will send a signal to power off the device. You may have
to press the [POWER] button up to 200 times until the device response.
F. Once the signal is received the device will switch off, stop pressing the [POWER]
button and press the selected device button (e.g. [TV], [VCR], [DVD] or [SAT]) to
store the code. The LED light will turn off.
G. Press the [POWER] button to switch on the device and to check other controls
press any other function buttons, i.e. [CH+], [CH-], [VOL+], [VOL-] etc.
H. If the device does not respond to the other function buttons, repeat the above
procedures until the right code is stored.
Remark:
• THE URC enables you to change the direction of the search to find the code when
using the Quick Search function. Once you have entered the QUICK SEARCH MODE
the URC will be set to forward search direction (e.g. 0001, 0002, 0003…). Press the
SET button once again and the search direction will be set to backward search (e.g.
0090, 0089, 0088…)
• Anytime if you want to leave the Quick Search Mode, press the DEVICE key or the unit
will leave the Quick Search mode automatically after 30 seconds when no key is been
pressed.
Brand Code Recall
The Brand Code Recall function enables you to recall
the 4-digit brand code after the set up is
done OR after the corresponding code number is found by the QUICK SEARCH.
Follow the
below procedures to recall the brand code for a particular device:
A. Press the desired device button
[TV], [VCR], [DVD] or [SAT], of which you would like to
recall the code.
B. Press and hold the [SET] button and while holding the [SET] button press number
[1] button to recall the first digit number of the code, see below example.
C. Release both keys.
D. The number of times that the LED flashes indicates the particular digit number of
the brand code.
For example :
Press and hold [SET] button & press [1] button LED flashes 3 times the 1st digit
of the code is “3”
Press and hold [SET] button & press [2] button LED not flashes the 2nd digit of
the code is “0”
Press and hold [SET] button & press [3] button LED flashes 1 times the 3rd digit
of the code is “1”
Press and hold [SET] button & press [4] button LED not flashes the 4th digit of
the code is “0”
The 4-digit brand code is “3010”.
Note: The URC can only recall the last 4 digit code which has been recorded by
the remote control.
