12. Motorsetup
12.1 Adjusting of cosj for the connected motor
The control device is set to cosj = 0.80 at the factory. For optimal control response, the cosj of the installed motor
must be entered
(F specification on the type identification tag of the motor).
Cos φ - Setting
The output voltage of the unit depends on the inductance of the motor
(cos
j).
If the cos
j of the motor is smaller than the set value, the maximum output
voltage is reached (as speed controller mode 1.01) below the maximum
input signal (<10 V / 20 mA). For mode as controller (P-controler, 2.01 and
higher) at a system control deviation which is too low.
If the cos
j of the motor is significantly greater than the set value, the
maximum output voltage may not be reached under certain circumstances
If a Ziehl-Abegg noise filter (type GFD..) is connected at the output of the
control device, calibration takes place by means of the associated noise filter
condensers (cos
j »1). In order for the device to be able to reach the
maximum output voltage, a setting of cos
j =0.95 is recommended.
12.2 Setting for Rampup time and Rampdown time
By separate menus for Rampup time and Rampdown time an adjustment is possible to individual system conditions.
This function is switched behind the actual controller function.
Rampup time
Time setting in which the automatic controller output from 0 % to 100 % rises
Factory setting 20 sec.
Setting range 2 - 250 sec.
Rampdown time
Time setting in which the automatic controller output from 100 % to 0 % reduces
Factory settng 20 sec.
Setting range 2 - 250 sec.
