Noisy Motor
Were the fan speeds checked fan speeds prior to installation?
Is the ducting clear?
Check to make sure motor is attached to housing
Is the 6” back draft damper on transition piece functioning properly (760 CFM
hood?) Does it open when the hood is engaged?
If it is stuck, it will sound like motor noise but it’s really the damper
Was a damper installed on the roof or side vent?
Check that the damper is fully functioning by engaging the hood and
checking if it opens and closes properly
If the motor is accessible, the motor knob can be tightened
