[Setup procedure for Windows 95/98/Me]
Step1: Please check the packing list:
a. One Print Server.
b. One external AC power adapter.
c. One setup CD. (For Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP).
d. One user’s manual (included quick guide).
Step2: Setup procedure that Print Server connect to Printer:
a. Turn off the printer’s power.
b. Use the USB cable to connect printer server with your printer.
c. Plug UTP line and power adapter.
d. Done.
Step3: Install protocol in Windows 95/98/Me:
a. Please make sure what protocol that you need, we could use IPX/SPX . TCP/IP . NetBEUI in
Windows 95/98/Me.
b. If it needs to add new protocol, the procedure is: Select Control Panel Æ Select Network(1) Æ
Select Add(2) Æ Select Protocol(3) Æ Select Microsoft from the Manufacture list(4) Æ Select
one protocol what you need(5) Æ Done.
Step4: Install driver for Print Server in Windows 95/98/Me:
a. Insert CD and execute setup.exe.
b. It will appear two utilities, one is Network Print Monitor, and the other is PSAdmin.
c. Done.
Step5: Add new Printer’s driver:
If it was a new printer type, please select [add printer] and complete this procedure.
Setup procedure as below:
a. Select Local Printer.
b. Select the appropriate printer manufacturer.
c. Select printer type.
d. Select LPT1.
e. Type printer name or use default.
f. In print test page, select “No”.
g. Done.
Step6: Configure print server:
a. Select printer name what you want.
b. Select “Properties”.
c. Select “Details”.
d. Select “Add Port”.
e. In “Other”, select “Network Print Port”.
