Note:
Whenversionupgrades,especiallywhenremoteversionupgrades,
thecompatibilityproblemofnewandoldversionsappears.Gen-
erally,binarycongurationlerunning.cfgcompatibilityisbad,so
itisrecommendedthattestthecongurationrecoveryrstand
thendecideifcong.txtneedtobeusedforrecovery.Ifversion
spanislarge,usecong.txtforrecovery.Afterupgrading,checkif
therecoveredcongurationisthesameastheoriginalone.Ifnot,
congureaccordingtotheactualsituationtoavoidconguration
faultcausedbyupgrade.
VersionUpgradeWhentheSystem

Whentheswitchcannotbestartednormallyorrunsabnormally,
upgradetheversionasfollows:
1.ConnectConsoleportoftheswitchtotheserialportofthe
backgroundhostbyusingtheself-containedcongurationca-
ble.ConnectanEthernetportoftheswitchexcepttheninth
portofZXR102609/2809tothenetworkportoftheback-
groundhostbyusinganetworkcable.Checkwhetherthe
connectionsarecorrect.
2.Restarttheswitch.AttheHyperTerminal,pressanykeyas
promptedtoenterthe[ZxR10Boot]state.
