8.3.4 Static VLAN
Use a static VLAN to decide whether an incoming frame on a port should be
• sent to a VLAN group as normal depending on its VLAN tag.
• sent to a group whether it has a VLAN tag or not.
• blocked from a VLAN group regardless of its VLAN tag.
You can also tag all outgoing frames (that were previously untagged) from a port
with the specified VID.
8.4 Static VLAN
Use this screen to configure and view static VLAN parameters for the Switch. To
access this screen click Configuration > VLAN > Static VLAN.
The port through which you access the Switch must be in VLAN 1. If you want to
access the Switch through a port that is not in VLAN 1, you must reset the Switch.
VLAN Port Port VID This is the VLAN ID assigned to untagged frames
that this port received.
Acceptable Frame
Type
You may choose to accept both tagged and
untagged incoming frames, just tagged incoming
frames or just untagged incoming frames on a
port.
Ingress filtering If set, the Switch discards incoming frames for
VLANs that do not have this port as a member
