Use this screen to configure the STP Po rt Edit settings. Click C o nfig ura tio n > Spa nning Tre e > STP Port > Edit
to open this screen.

STP Port
Port Displays the index number of the STP port.
State Display the status of the STP port as enabled or disabled.
External Cost Displays the external path cost.
Edge Port Displays the edge port status as Ye s or No .
BPDU Filter Displays the BPDU filter status as Ye s or No .
P2P MAC Displays the P2P MAC status as Ye s or No .
Edit Select this check box to configure the properties of a port. Click the Edit button change the
properties of the port.
Cancel Click C a nc e l to discard the changes.

STP Port
Port List Enter the index number of the STP ports.
External Path
Cost (0=Auto)
Enter the external path cost. Enter 0 for Auto.
State Select the state of the STP port as enabled or disabled.
Edge Port Select this check box to configure a port as an edge port when it is directly attached to a
computer. An edge port changes its initial STP port state from blocking state to forwarding state
immediately without going through listening and learning states right after the port is configured
as an edge port or when its link status changes.
Note: An edge port becomes a non-edge port as soon as it receives a
Bridge Protocol Data Unit (BPDU).
BPDU Filter Select Ye s to activate BPDU filter or No to deactivate it.
