Use this screen to configure the Lo c a l settings. Click Co nfig ura tion > Ma na g e m e nt > Syslog > Lo c a l >

LABEL DESCRIPTIO N
Local
Target Displays the local storage target for logging messages.
It shows whether the logs are stored in the Switch’s run-time memory buffer or flash (permanent)
memory. If the logs are stored in the Switch’s memory buffer, the logs will be erased when the
Switch reboots.
Severity Displays the severity level of messages to be stored in the Switch’s memory.
The Switch stores the messages of that severity level or higher.
Action
Edit Click Ed it to make changes to the entry.
Delete Click De le te to remove the entry.
Add Click Add to create a new Lo c a l entry.

Local
Target Select the local storage target for logging messages. The options are Buffe re d or Fla sh.
Severity Select the severity level of the messages that you want to save in the Switch’s memory. The
Switch stores the logging messages with the severity level equal to or higher than what you
selected. For example, if you select wa rning , all messages with the wa rning , e rro r, c rit, a le rt or
e m e rg severity level will be stored.
Apply Click A pp ly to save the changes.
Cancel Click C a nc e l to discard the changes.
