13.21 Switch SFP Alarm Setup
Click Switch > SFP in the navigation panel to display the SFP screen. Use this screen to set the
alarm thresholds for SFP modules that provide a Digital Diagnostics Monitoring Interface (DDMI).
Copy Do the following to copy settings from one Ethernet port to another Ethernet port or ports.
1. Use the Select column to choose an Ethernet port from which you want to copy settings.
2. Click Copy to open the following screen.

3. Select a line card to which you want to copy settings.
4. Select the check boxes of the ports on the line card to which you want to copy the
settings. Click Select All to mark all of the port check boxes or click Select None to clear
all of the port check boxes.
5. Click Apply to copy the settings to all of the ports that you have selected in this screen.
Click Cancel to close the screen without saving changes.
ID This is the slot number of a line card. Click the index number of an active line card to display
a screen that lists whether loopback testing is enabled or disabled for each of the line card’s
ports.
State This field displays the line card’s current operational status.
active means the line card is operating normally.
init means the MSC is initializing the line card.
disable means a manager has disabled the line card.
inactive means the line card is starting up or is not operating normally. This could be due to
the card starting, a firmware upgrade in progress or a malfunction. See Section 38.7 on page
1111 for what to do if the line card stays stuck in the inactive state.
Card Type This field displays the type of a line card.
Up Time This field displays how long the line card has been running since the last time it was started.
Firmware This field displays the current firmware version installed on the line card.
