Overview

The ZZOOOTA SharpAi 3-Camera system is a comprehensive vehicle monitoring and safety solution designed for commercial vehicles. It integrates Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Driver State Monitoring (DSM) functionalities, along with a third camera for additional surveillance. The system is managed and configured via the Veyes mobile application, available on both Apple and Google Play stores.

Function Description:

The SharpAi 3-Camera system primarily serves to enhance driver safety and operational efficiency through real-time monitoring and alerts.

  • SharpAi-ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance System): This forward-facing road-scanning camera monitors the road ahead, providing alerts for potential hazards. Key ADAS functions include:
    • Lane Departure Warning (LDW): Alerts the driver if the vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane.
    • Forward Collision Warning (FCW): Warns the driver of an impending collision with a vehicle ahead.
    • Pedestrian Collision Warning (PCW): Detects pedestrians and alerts the driver to prevent collisions.
    • Overspeed Warning: Alerts the driver when the vehicle exceeds a set speed limit.
    • Rolling Stop Warning: Detects if the vehicle fails to come to a complete stop at a stop sign.
    • ADAS Calibration: The system requires calibration to accurately measure the vehicle's height and width, ensuring precise operation of its safety features. This involves inputting the ADAS camera's installation height and the vehicle's front-end width via the Veyes app. The calibration process also includes setting up left/right indicators and confirming vehicle height.
  • SharpAi-DSM (Driver State Monitoring): This driver-facing A-pillar camera monitors the driver's behavior and state, identifying potential distractions or fatigue. DSM functions include:
    • Driver Face Monitoring: Ensures the driver's face is centered in the camera's view and not obstructed.
    • Fill Light Monitoring: Verifies that the DSM's fill light illuminates the driver's face, not the seatbelt, for optimal monitoring.
    • DSM Calibration: Similar to ADAS, the DSM camera requires calibration to ensure accurate monitoring. This involves adjusting the camera's angle to ensure the driver's face is in the middle of the screen, the bottom edge of the picture is below the driver's chest, and there are no obstructions to the vision. The calibration process is guided through the Veyes app, where the user selects the installation location (front or side) and proceeds with the calibration, which involves a visual frame that changes color (red to blue) and a numerical count to indicate completion.
  • Third Camera (IPC): While not explicitly detailed in its functions, the presence of an "IPC" (likely an IP Camera) in the system overview suggests additional surveillance capabilities, potentially for interior or side views of the vehicle, complementing the ADAS and DSM cameras for a comprehensive 3-camera setup.
  • Veyes App Integration: The Veyes app serves as the central interface for installation, configuration, and monitoring. It allows users to:
    • Download and install the app from app stores.
    • Log in with default admin credentials.
    • Connect to the ADAS camera via Wi-Fi (using the camera's serial number as the network name).
    • Access live view, playback, and preferences.
    • Perform ADAS and DSM calibrations.
    • Adjust camera settings like install angle, mirror, and flip.
    • View device information, vehicle information, and alarm settings.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Power Supply: The system can be powered by vehicle batteries through the fuse box or by a DC power supply. The output voltage range should be within 9-36V.
  • ACC Connection: The ACC line on the 10PIN power cord must connect to the vehicle ignition signal line. It's crucial to ensure the vehicle is turned off before connecting the ACC cable. The power cord should be directly connected to the vehicle battery, maintaining 9-36V even when ACC is off.
  • Speed Signal: Vehicle speed can be read from a CAN port or GPS.
  • Indicator and Sensor Connection: SENSOR IN1 connects to the Right indicator, and SENSOR IN2 connects to the Left indicator. Correct orientation is vital for proper functioning.
  • ADAS Camera Installation Height: Recommended range is 100-400 CM (39-157 inches) from the camera lens to the ground.
  • ADAS Camera Placement: Top center of the windscreen, with the camera lens no more than 5cm from the vehicle centerline. The lens area should ideally be within the windshield wiper's range. Glass temperature should be between 10°C and 28°C during installation.
  • DSM Camera Placement: On the right A-pillar, with the arc facing the cabin and the cable on top. Distance from the driver's face to the DSM should be 80-110cm.
  • Wi-Fi Connectivity: The system utilizes Wi-Fi for app connection and configuration. If no Wi-Fi connection is requested after 2 minutes, Wi-Fi automatically turns off to save power.
  • Shutdown Countdown: After turning off ACC, the device enters a shutdown countdown instead of immediately shutting down.

Usage Features:

  • Real-time Monitoring: Live view of camera feeds through the Veyes app.
  • Alerts and Warnings: Provides audible and visual alerts for ADAS and DSM events.
  • Configuration Flexibility: Allows adjustment of various parameters like installation height, front-end width, and camera angles to suit different vehicle types and driver preferences.
  • User-friendly App Interface: The Veyes app provides an intuitive interface for managing the system.
  • Optional R-Watch: The system overview indicates an "R-Watch" as an optional component, suggesting additional remote monitoring or control capabilities.

Maintenance Features:

  • Installation Guide: Detailed steps for physical installation and software configuration are provided in the manual.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual outlines steps to correct camera angles if the image is showing incorrectly.
  • Calibration Process: Guided calibration procedures for ADAS and DSM cameras ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Important Installation Hints: Emphasizes cleaning the glass with alcohol wipes before attaching the ADAS bracket and ensuring proper mounting of the DSM camera to the A-pillar truck frame, not just the trim, for secure attachment.
  • Documentation: Users are advised to record vehicle registration details against the serial number for each install and provide this document to client support for web platform updates.

The ZZOOOTA SharpAi 3-Camera system is designed to be a robust and intelligent solution for enhancing safety and monitoring in commercial vehicle operations, leveraging advanced camera technology and a user-friendly mobile application for comprehensive management.
