It could be due to the unit and pump not running long enough; a minimum of 6 hours of operation is recommended. Incorrect total alkalinity, an imbalanced pH (it should be between 7.2 and 7.6), insufficient suction because of obstructions in the water lines or return fitting, a dirty, loose, or cracked filter needing replacement, or metals/minerals reacting with ozone in the water might also cause this issue. Check and adjust alkalinity and pH, clean the filter, and consider running the filtration system and ozone for 24 hours.
