17 Insta llation
The dimmers for distribution systems are mounted on a
standard 35 mm rail. (DIN EN 60715).
Universal Master Dimmers and power modules heat up
when in operation due to the fact that a portion of the
installed load is converted, as power dissipation, into heat.
Should the ambient temperature increase during operation
to over 45 °C, the installed load must be reduced in
accordance with the diagram (Fig. 3).
The ambient temperature can be effectively reduced by
installing a distribution-board ventilator.
Supply and Load Connection
The supply is connected to the terminals L and N. The load
is connected to one of the
terminals (controlled
outputs).
Pushbutton mode (terminal 1, see Fig.1)
Any number of pushbuttons (e.g. 2020 US) can be
connected in parallel to allow switching and dimming via
pushbutton terminal 1. Pushbutton control is either with L
or N, in the case of polyphase operation only with N.
