This document provides an installation and operation guide for the AboLife M15 Keypad Electronic Lock. It covers the components, installation steps, programming instructions, and troubleshooting tips.
The AboLife M15 is a keypad electronic lock designed for residential use, offering keyless entry and enhanced security features. Its primary function is to secure a door using a programmable keypad, allowing users to unlock it with a numerical code rather than a traditional key. The lock also retains the option for manual key override, providing a backup entry method.
The AboLife M15 Keypad Electronic Lock operates by allowing users to program and store multiple user codes for keyless access. It features a backlit keypad for visibility in low-light conditions. The core functionality revolves around its electronic locking mechanism, which is controlled by the keypad and internal programming. When a correct user code is entered, the latch bolt retracts, allowing the door to be opened. The lock also includes an auto-lock function, which automatically re-secures the door after a set period, enhancing security by preventing accidental unlatching. A protection mode is integrated to deter unauthorized access attempts; if an incorrect code is entered multiple times, the keypad will temporarily lock out, preventing further attempts. For maintenance and setup, a SET button is provided on the interior assembly, allowing access to programming modes for changing codes, adding/deleting users, and adjusting settings. The lock is powered by AA batteries, and it includes alerts for low battery status to ensure continuous operation. In case of complete battery depletion, an external Micro-USB power supply can be used for temporary power to unlock the door, or the physical key can be used.
