4. Then enter the current date (date of
installation) on the rear label of the
alarm with a water- and smudge-
proof pen (see adjacent figure).

5. Mount the smoke alarm device to the
detector base by turning it clockwise
as far as the hinge.

Start-up
 The detector can only be operated if it has been
properly mounted on the mounting plate beforehand.
 The detector emits a signal tone when it has been
activated successfully and is therefore ready for operation.
