Note
To ensure a long service life and reliable operation, we recommend using
the following high-quality batteries:
• RM10: Alkaline 9V block battery Duracell MN1604 or Energizer 255
• RM15: Lithium 9V block battery EVE CR9V/P or Ultralife U9VL-J-P
Alarms and error signals
When the alarm threshold is exceeded, a loud alarm sounds.
• The alarm continues sounding as long as there is smoke in the detection chamber.
• The alarm is only switched o when there is no more smoke in the detection
chamber.
What to do if there is a false alarm?
A false alarm can occur due to very high air humidity, the build-up of smoke whilst
cooking or a large build-up of dust, for example.
• If the alarm sounds, rst get yourself to safety. If you are certain that it is a false
alarm, you can disassemble the detector and disconnect the battery.
• The smoke detector will switch o automatically once the smoke particles have
le the smoke chamber inside the detector.
