4.3 Installation in the ceiling
Before starting:
The following points are prerequisites for installation:
x The ceiling must be at least 5 mm and up to 40 mm in thickness.
x The ceiling must be strong enough to bear more than 4 times the weight of the Speed Dome and its
accessories.
1. Removing the ceiling mount
The ceiling mount is attached to the indoor dome upon delivery. Before installing the Speed Dome in
the ceiling, the ceiling mount must be removed.
1.1 Undo and remove the four screws as shown in the following:
1.2 Fasten the four installation bolts.
2. Laying the cables
The cables can be guided into the Speed Dome from the top or from the side. If you wish to guide the
cables in from above, a hole needs to be drilled in the ceiling for the cables.
