Overview

The Accsoon CineEye 2S is a wireless video transmission system designed for professional monitoring applications. It offers high-quality video and audio transmission with very low latency, making it suitable for demanding production environments.

Function Description

The CineEye 2S functions as a wireless video transmitter that takes SDI or HDMI input from a camera and transmits it over a 5GHz WiFi network to multiple mobile devices (up to 4 receivers). This allows for professional monitoring using a dedicated app on iOS and Android devices. It also supports camera control functionalities.

Usage Features

Installation:

  1. Unfold the antennas on the CineEye 2S.
  2. Attach the CineEye 2S to the camera or camera cage using the hot/cold shoe mount adapter.
  3. Power the device using an NP-F series battery (NP-F970/F750/F550) or a DC power source.
  4. Connect the camera's SDI or HDMI output to the corresponding input port on the CineEye 2S.

Power On/Off:

  • To turn on: Hold the power button for 1 second.
  • To turn off: Hold the power button for 2 seconds.

OLED Display: The 1.3-inch OLED display provides crucial information:

  1. Input video information (e.g., FHD1080p60 H.265).
  2. Input audio information (e.g., Hifi44.1k 16bit AAC).
  3. Battery level or DC input status.
  4. Connection status, indicating the number of connected devices (displays "0" if no devices are connected).
  5. Current 5G WiFi channel.

Data Rate Setting: Users can select from three data rate modes to optimize transmission quality or speed:

  1. High Quality Mode (HG): Prioritizes video quality.
  2. Normal Mode (NOM): Default setting, balancing quality and speed.
  3. Speed Mode (SPD): Prioritizes transmission speed. To change the setting, press the "Menu" button, navigate to "Data Rate Setting," select the desired mode, and press "Menu" again to apply.

Channel Setting: The CineEye 2S defaults to "Auto" channel selection, which automatically chooses the channel with the least interference upon power-on. For manual channel selection:

  1. Press the "Menu" button to enter the "Channel Setting" menu.
  2. Select a desired channel from the available options (e.g., 36, 40, 44, etc.).
  3. Press "Menu" to confirm.
  4. Choose "Yes" and press "Menu" again to reboot the transmitter, applying the new channel setting.

App Monitoring:

  1. Download the "Accsoon Go" app from the Google Play Store (for Android) or iOS App Store.
  2. Launch the "Accsoon Go" app and select "CineEye 2S."
  3. On your mobile device, open the WLAN (Wireless/WiFi) settings.
  4. Connect to the CineEye 2S WiFi network. The network name will be "CineEye2_XXXX" (where XXXX is a unique identifier), and the default password is "12345678."
  5. Return to the "Accsoon Go" app, ensure "CineEye 2S" is selected, and click "Monitor" to view the live camera feed.

Camera Control: The CineEye 2S supports camera control, allowing users to manage certain camera functions through the monitoring app.

Maintenance Features

Firmware Update: The CineEye 2S firmware can be upgraded via the "Accsoon Go" app:

  1. Ensure your mobile phone has internet access.
  2. Launch "Accsoon Go," select "CineEye 2S," and click "Firmware Update." The app will automatically check for and download the latest firmware if available.
  3. After the download, connect your mobile device to the CineEye 2S WiFi.
  4. Go back to the app and click "Firmware Update" to initiate the update process. Important Update Notes:
  • The CineEye 2S battery level must be above 50% before updating.
  • Do not turn off the CineEye 2S until the update is complete.

Network Reset: Users can reset the WiFi SSID and password to factory settings:

  1. Press the "Menu" button to enter the "Network Reset" menu.
  2. Select "Yes" and press "Menu" to confirm.
  3. Choose "Yes" again and press "Menu" to reboot the transmitter. The 5G WiFi SSID and password will be reset to their factory defaults.

Troubleshooting (Q&A):

  • No video displayed:
    • Verify the video cable is securely plugged into the "SDI IN" or "HDMI IN" port of the CineEye 2S.
    • Check if the camera's output format is compatible with the CineEye 2S input formats.
    • Ensure the camera's video output is enabled via the SDI or HDMI port.
  • Video is choppy:
    • Make sure the antennas are fully unfolded.
    • Ensure there are no cables or obstructions around the antenna.
    • Try switching to another channel manually.
  • Mobile devices can't see the CineEye 2S WiFi:
    • Check if your mobile device supports 5G WiFi.
