Model 7434 v1.1
Setting 0° Calibration
Note: The device is calibrated in the
factory for maximum accuracy.
User can re-calibrate if necessary.
1. Turn off the device and place it on
a flat, smooth surface.
2. While the device is still off,
press the ON/OFF and HOLD
buttons together until the display
reads “CAL”.
3. Press the HOLD button again and
the display will now read “CAL1”.
4. Without picking up the device,
rotate it 180° and press the HOLD
button again. The display will
now read “CAL2”. The 0°
calibration is now complete.
Inclination Icon
As shown in the drawings, the
inclination icon shows you in what
direction you need to move an object
to get to level. The direction is
measured relative to the right side of
the gauge.
If the short line is above the longer
line, the right side is high and needs to
be lowered. Note that the arrow points
down, the direction which the right side
of the gauge should be rotated.
If the short line is below the longer line,
the right side needs to be raised. Note
that the arrow points up, the direction
which the right side of the gauge
should be rotated.
One large line indicates level, 0.0°.

Overview

The AccuMASTER Digital Angle Gauge is a versatile 2-in-1 digital level and angle gauge designed for precision measurement in various applications. It allows users to find true level and accurately check angles on a wide range of tools and surfaces, including saw blades, jointer fences, drill presses, and band saw tables. This tool is particularly useful for welders, fabricators, installers, and anyone requiring precise angle settings.

Function Description:

The primary function of the AccuMASTER Digital Angle Gauge is to measure angles and determine true level. It can display measurements in degrees (°), percentage (%), millimeters per meter (mm/m), or inches per foot (in/ft), offering flexibility for different measurement standards. The device features a "SET 0" function, allowing users to manually establish a custom zero-degree reference point on any non-level surface, which is useful for relative angle measurements. An inclination icon visually guides the user on the direction an object needs to be moved to achieve a level position, indicating whether the right side of the gauge needs to be raised or lowered. The device also includes a HOLD function to freeze the current measurement on the display, enabling users to read the value even after moving the device from the measurement surface.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Accuracy: ±0.2°
  • Display: Large, bright StayGlow™ display with backlight that remains on until the device is turned off. The display is reversible, allowing for easy reading even when the device is upside down.
  • Attachment: Features magnetic attachment, allowing it to securely adhere to metal blades, tables, and other surfaces.
  • Measurement Modes: Displays angles in degrees (°), percentage (%), millimeters per meter (mm/m), and inches per foot (in/ft).
  • Power Source: Operates on two AAA batteries (included).
  • Automatic Shut-off: The device automatically turns off after 3 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.
  • Durability: IP54 certified, indicating resistance to dust and water splashes.
  • Warranty: Comes with a 2-year warranty.
  • Included Accessories: Two long-life AAA batteries and a protective pouch.
  • Error Display: If the angle gauge is tipped back more than 45 degrees, the display will show "Err".

Usage Features:

  • Power On/Off: Press the ON/OFF button to power on the device. The display backlight activates automatically. Press and hold the ON/OFF button to turn off the device.
  • Angle Measurement: To measure an angle, simply turn on the device and place it on the surface to be measured.
  • Mode Switching: Use the MODE button to cycle through the different measurement units: degrees, percentage, mm/m, or in/ft.
  • Relative Angle Measurement (SET 0): If a surface is not level but needs to be the starting point for a measurement, press the SET 0 button to set the current level to 0°. A "SET 0" icon will appear on the display. Press SET 0 again to cancel this function.
  • Measurement Hold: To freeze a measurement on the display, press the HOLD button. A "HOLD" icon will appear. Press HOLD again to return to live measurement mode.
  • Inclination Guidance: The inclination icon provides visual feedback on the direction to move an object to achieve level. A short line above a longer line indicates the right side is high and needs to be lowered (arrow points down). A short line below a longer line indicates the right side needs to be raised (arrow points up). A single large line signifies a perfectly level 0.0° reading.

Maintenance Features:

  • Battery Replacement: The device uses two AAA batteries. Users should remove the plastic battery tab before first use. The battery life indicator on the LCD display shows the current battery status.
  • 0° Calibration: The device is factory-calibrated for maximum accuracy, but users can re-calibrate it if necessary.
    1. Turn off the device and place it on a flat, smooth surface.
    2. While off, press the ON/OFF and HOLD buttons together until "CAL" appears on the display.
