What to do if Acer Supra 818PD Grinder causes burning damage and color change on workpiece?
    • S
      Susan VincentJul 31, 2025
If you notice burning damage and color changes on your workpiece when using the Acer Grinder, it could be due to several reasons. First, the grinding amount might be insufficient, in this case, increase the table feed speed. Another cause may be that the grinding wheel is too hard or too fine, so reduce grinding depth. Finally, too heavy grinding on a small area can cause heat concentration, to solve this problem increase coolant flow speed and flow rate to cool down workpiece.

Why is the workpiece not parallel when using my Acer Supra 818PD Grinder?
    • K
      Kevin TurnerAug 6, 2025
If your workpiece isn't parallel after grinding with the Acer Grinder, it could be due to partial over-heating, internal stress relief, or bending/twisting of the workpiece. To address partial over-heat, reduce the holding force on the chuck. For internal stress, place the bent side of the workpiece on the chuck. If the workpiece is bending or twisting, turn it over and pad it with a sheet of paper, lightly grind several times, then turn it over for continued grinding to achieve a flat surface.
