Overview

This document is an owner's manual for an ACIQ remote controller, designed for use with an air conditioning unit. It provides comprehensive instructions on the remote's specifications, button functions, screen indicators, and how to operate both basic and advanced features of the air conditioner.

Function Description

The ACIQ remote controller allows users to manage various aspects of their air conditioning unit, including power on/off, mode selection (Auto, Cool, Dry, Heat, Fan), temperature adjustment, fan speed control, and advanced functions like Sleep mode, Turbo mode, ECO/GEAR energy-saving modes, Humidity control, LED display management, Silence function, FP function, Lock function, Lifting panel function, and SET functions such as Breeze Away, Active Clean, Fresh, Follow Me, and AP mode.

Basic Functions:

  • ON/OFF: Turns the air conditioning unit on or off.
  • MODE: Cycles through operation modes: AUTO, COOL, DRY, HEAT, FAN. Note that HEAT mode may not be supported by cooling-only appliances.
  • TEMP ▲/▼: Adjusts the set temperature in 0.5°C (1°F) increments. The temperature range is 16°C (60°F) to 30°C (86°F). Pressing both ▲ and ▼ buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds toggles the temperature display between °C and °F.
  • FAN SPEED: Selects fan speeds in a sequence: AU → 20% → 40% → 60% → 80% → 100%. The TEMP ▲/▼ buttons can also be used to increase/decrease fan speed in 1% increments. Fan speed cannot be set in AUTO or DRY modes.
  • SWING: Starts and stops horizontal louver movement. Holding down for 2 seconds initiates vertical louver auto swing.
  • TIMER ON/OFF: Sets a timer for the unit to automatically turn on or off after a specified duration. The timer can be set from 0 to 24 hours, with 30-minute increments up to 10 hours, and 1-hour increments from 10 to 24 hours.

Advanced Functions:

  • SLEEP: Activates an energy-saving mode during sleeping hours by gradually adjusting the temperature. This function is not available in FAN or DRY modes.
  • OK: Confirms selected functions.
  • ECO/GEAR: Enters an energy-efficient mode. ECO mode automatically adjusts the temperature to 24°C/75°F and fan speed to Auto (if the set temperature is below 24°C/75°F) to save energy. GEAR mode allows selection of 75% or 50% electrical energy consumption. This function is only available in COOL mode.
  • HUMIDITY: Adjusts room humidity during DRY operation, ranging from 35% to 85% in 5% increments.
  • LED: Turns the indoor unit's LED display and buzzer on/off. Holding for more than 5 seconds displays the actual room temperature; pressing again reverts to the setting temperature.
  • TURBO: Enables the unit to reach the preset temperature in the shortest possible time by blowing cool air with the strongest wind in COOL mode, or heat air with the strongest wind in HEAT mode (for units with heating capabilities).
  • SILENCE: Activates/disables a low-frequency operation mode for the compressor, reducing noise. This may result in insufficient cooling/heating capacity. Pressing ON/OFF, Mode, Sleep, Turbo, or Clean buttons will cancel this function.
  • FP Function (Freeze Protection): Operates the unit at high fan speed with the temperature automatically set to 8°C/46°F. Activated by pressing the TEMP ▼ button twice within one second under HEAT mode with a set temperature of 16°C. This function is for heat pump air conditioners only.
  • LOCK Function: Pressing the Turbo and Humidity buttons simultaneously for more than 5 seconds locks the remote, preventing accidental changes. Pressing them again for 2 seconds disables the lock.
  • Lifting Panel Function: Pressing the Mode and ▼ buttons simultaneously for more than 3 seconds activates this function, displaying "F2" on the remote. The ▲/▼ buttons can then control the rise or fall of the grille.
  • SET Functions:
    • Breeze Away: Avoids direct airflow on the body, available in Cool, Fan, and Dry modes.
    • Active Clean/Self Clean: Automatically freezes and thaws the heat exchanger to remove dust, mold, and grease. The indoor unit displays "CL" and turns off after 20-45 minutes.
    • Fresh: Energizes the Ionizer/Plasma Dust Collector (model-dependent) to remove pollen and impurities.
    • Follow Me: The remote control measures the temperature at its current location and sends this data to the air conditioner every 3 minutes, optimizing temperature around the user in AUTO, COOL, or HEAT modes. A memory feature can be activated/stopped by holding the Turbo button for seven seconds.
    • AP Mode: Used for wireless network configuration. For some units, it's activated by continuously pressing the LED button seven times in 10 seconds.
