Group
Initialization
Each
time
the Model
2000 is
turned "ON," the brew
group
runs
through
22
different
steps
to
perform
a self-calibration.
The CPIJ monitors
the
C,cffee
Piston
movement
from
thc basc
of the
brcw
chamber to the basc
of the
Brew,

During
operation,
the

Measuring
Coffee
Powder
Dose
The
CPIJ
monitors
the Coffee
Powder
Dose
(amount
of coflee ground
into
the brew
chamber
during
an exlraction)
using information
obtained
from
the
Hall
Eflect
Sensors.
Once
the
beans
are
ground
and
dispensed into
the Brew
Charnber,
the
LJpper
Piston
lowers
into
the
Brew
Chamber
to seal it. The
Lower
Piston
m()ves

in
the
chamber

the
ground
coffee
against
the
Upper Piston.
(The
lower piston
rnoves
until
it
is
stopped
by'the
presience
of the
coffee in
the chamber.)
As
tlre pistons
move.

The

With
each new
