How to prevent rapid creosote build-up in ACR STOVES Wood stove?

  If you notice rapid creosote build-up in the chimney or flue system of your ACR STOVES Wood stove, it's likely due to using wet wood (more than 20% moisture). To resolve this, switch to using dry, seasoned wood with a moisture content of 20% or less. Also, operate the appliance at a high temperature for short periods each time you use it. This will help prevent large build-ups of tars and creosotes.

  Blackening of the glass in your ACR STOVES Wood stove can occur due to several reasons. It could be caused by using poor quality wood or wet wood (more than 20% moisture). Low flue draught can also be a factor, as well as incorrect use of the air control or operating the appliance at continuously low temperatures. To address this, use dry, seasoned wood with a moisture content of 20% or less. For issues related to flue draught and air control, consult your installer for advice on the flue system and refer to the user instructions for the correct use of air control. Operate at high output for short periods.
