Successive addressing of channels according to the chosen sort
On the trace and in the table, it is possible to make the cursor successively pass
on the channels according to the selected sort order. To do this:
Use the cursor key to choose the cursor A or B for use on the trace.
Press the <Channel> key.
Press on the > or < key to make the cursor jump back to the previous channel
or on to the following channel:
- with the frequency sort, the cursor follows the normal order of channels.
- with the level sort, the cursor follows the order of the channel levels.
- with the SNR sort, the cursor follows the order of S/N ratios.
Table remarks
A remark with the maximum of 40 characters, entered by the user, can be
associated with each channel. For each trace, a maximum of 16 remarks is
possible.
Notes These remarks appear in the table if they have been validated in the
«OSA test setup» menu on the Remarks in table line (Display win-
dow).
Note Each remark is associated with a channel. Therefore, if the channel is
erased, then the remark will also be erased.
To enter a remark:
Press the
SET-UP button, then the <Test Setup> key.
In the Results window, in the Remarks in table line, select Ye s .
Press the
RESULTS button and, if necessary, on the <Table> key to return to
the Table display.
In the table, select the channel.
Press the <Expert> key, then the <Notes> key.
Enter the text of the note by using the edit menu which is displayed (see
"Editing" on page 4-5).
Press the <Exit> key.
Display of relative results
The table usually gives the results in absolute values. To obtain these results as
relative values, that is with respect to the reference channel, do the following:
Press the <Tab Cont> key, then the <Absolute Result> key: this key will then
indicate <Relative Result>.
Move the cursor on to the channel that must be used as the reference.
Press the <Set Ref Channel> key. The results are then recalculated in relation
to the reference channel.
Current channels- found channels
If the test initiates multiple acquisitions (2..100 mode or Continuous mode):
the number of «found channels» is registered with the first acquisition and
the position of the channels is stored.
