Information about the 5020TF fiber modules
The 5020 TF single-mode and multi-mode contains two reels of fiber to be used
with the reflectometer. They are destined for training, demonstrations and can be
used as a launch fiber.
Note As these modules are not qualified as measurement devices, there is
no need for calibration certificate.

Advice on how to use the fiber 2 (long fiber)
Given that the loss per unit on fiber 2 may be higher near port 1:
• when measuring a dead zone, it is preferable to connect the reflectometer to
the port 4.
• when measuring the insertion loss of a connector located after the launching
cable, the reflectometer should be connected to port 1.
