Introduction
One of the most unique features of the hemispheric camera KCM-3911 is the Motion Detection
Preset mode. By this mode it is possible to let the camera capture and stream out only the
region that is currently activated by a moving object. As the object moves around the room, the
camera will be able to track the person by switching the view automatically according to the
location of the moving object.
The main benefit of such function is to have clear and enlarged overview of the intruders on
the NVR live display and save bandwidth and storage by only streaming a specific region of the
whole panorama view with much lower bitrate.
ACTi NVR 2.3, 3.0 and Standalone NVR do not formally support Motion Detection Preset
Mode yet. However, this article provides useful tips that help you make this function
work with all these VMS products today.
The purpose of this article is to explain how to be able at least get live video on VMS screen
while camera is working in Motion Detection preset mode.
