INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the ADA MP-1 CLASSIC MIDI Programmable Tube Guitar
Preamp. You now own one of the most tonally flexible and technologically advanced
guitar amplification devices available. Your MP-1 CLASSIC will store 128 programs
of exactly the right tone, no matter what kind of music you play. To properly set-up
and familiarize yourself with the MP-1 CLASSIC, read and follow these operating
instructions completely. It you can’t wait and want to Jump right into the MP-1
CLASSIC, go to the QUICK SET-UP section of this manual.
To use this preamp for recording, just patch directly from the recording outputs to the
line level inputs on your recorder or mixing console. To use on stage connect one or
both (for stereo) STAGE OUTPUTS directly to the input(s) of a power amplifier such
as the ADA Microtube Series Single Rack Power Amplifiers Connect the power
amplifier’s outputs to one or more speaker cabinets such as the ADA splitstacks.
