TVOC stands for
total volatile organic
compounds.
Background:
The problem when measuring highly volatile
foreign substances indoors is that a complex
mixture which is often temporally and
spatially variable is what is being evaluated.
There is insucient toxicological data for
many substances.
It is virtually impossible to assess the
potential interactions of dierent
substances and their eects.
