CARE AND CLEANING
Self-clean
The self-clean feature cleans out deposits that may have
collected inside the iron. If the iron is in regular use, run self-
cleaning twice a month.
Fill the iron with water as you would for steam ironing.•
Turn the steam control to the ‘0’ (steam off) position.•
Connect mains power.•
Set the temperature control to maximum.•
Wait for the temperature light to go out.
Disconnect the iron from mains power and carry it to a sink. •
Hold the iron horizontally over the sink and press the Self-•
clean button for about 30 seconds.
Steam and water will flow from the soleplate.•
Allow the iron to empty.•
Release the self-clean button.•
Allow the iron to cool before cleaning the body or storing it.•
Main body
Always disconnect the iron from mains power and ensure it has
cooled before cleaning it.
Wipe the main body and soleplate clean with a slightly damp •
cloth.
Dry thoroughly.•
Never clean the iron with solvents or abrasive products.
