Function Description:

The Adexa Compressor Wine Cooler is designed for domestic use, specifically for storing wine at low temperatures. It utilizes a compressor-based cooling system to maintain a controlled environment for wine preservation. The appliance is not intended for commercial applications, freezing foodstuffs, or as a built-in appliance. Its primary function is to provide an optimal storage temperature for various types of wine, ensuring their quality and longevity.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: JC-95E/HC
  • Rated Voltage: 220-240V AC
  • Rated Frequency: 50Hz
  • Rated Current: 0.55A
  • Volume: 95L
  • Climate Type: N, SN (Normal, Subnormal – indicating suitable ambient temperature ranges)
  • Protection Type: I (Class I appliance, meaning it has a protective earth connection)
  • Refrigerant: R600a (36g) - Butane, a natural gas with high environmental compatibility, which is flammable.
  • Insulation Blowing Gas: Cyclopentane
  • Bottles Capacity: 36 bottles of "Bordeaux 75cl" size.
  • Temperature Range: 4℃—18℃ (adjustable)
  • LED Light Board Data: AC220~240 V, max. 1W

Usage Features:

  • Temperature Control: The wine cooler features a display control unit for setting the desired temperature within a range of 4℃ to 18℃. The temperature can be adjusted using up and down buttons. Once the set temperature is reached, the self-control temperature system stops cooling, and restarts when the internal temperature rises above the set point.
  • Temperature Unit Toggle: Users can switch the temperature display between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) using a dedicated button.
  • LED Lighting: The appliance includes an internal LED light, which can be turned on or off using a dedicated button.
  • Child Safety: The manual emphasizes the importance of keeping packaging materials away from children due to suffocation risk and ensuring adequate supervision to prevent children from playing with the appliance. Old appliances should be made unusable before disposal to prevent children from locking themselves inside.
  • Optimal Temperature Settings: Recommended storage temperatures are provided for different wine types:
    • Red Wines: 15.5-18°C
    • Dry/White Wines: 10-15°C
    • Sparkling Wines/Champagne: 7.2-9.5°C
    • Rose Wines: 9.5-10.5°C
    • Vintage wine: 13°C
  • Installation Requirements:
    • The appliance should be set up in a well-ventilated, dry room, away from direct sunlight, radiators, cookers, or other heat sources.
    • It must be installed in a location where the ambient temperature corresponds to its climate classification.
    • A clearance of 5 cm on the sides is required if installed next to another refrigerator or freezer to prevent condensation.
    • Adequate air circulation around the back and top of the cabinet is necessary: Left and right: 150mm, Back: 100mm, TOP: 100mm.
    • The plug must be accessible after positioning the appliance.
    • A special power socket with ground wire is required; extension cords are not recommended.
    • The power cord should not be lengthened, folded, or kept close to the compressor.

Maintenance Features:

  • Defrosting: The wine cooler features automatic defrosting. Frost on the rear wall melts when the compressor is off, and the water evaporates by itself. If a thick layer of frost builds up due to continuous compressor operation (e.g., in high ambient temperatures with a very cold setting), the temperature regulator should be set to a warmer setting (5℃ or 6℃) to allow automatic defrosting to recommence.
  • Cleaning:
    • Regular cleaning of the interior and accessories is recommended for hygiene.
    • Always switch off the appliance and unplug it (or switch off the circuit breaker/fuse) before cleaning to avoid electrical shock.
    • Do not use a steam cleaner, as moisture can damage electrical components and plastic parts.
    • Avoid using ethereal oils, organic solvents, lemon juice, orange peel juice, butyric acid, or cleansers containing acetic acid, as these can attack plastic parts.
    • Do not use abrasive cleansers.
    • Clean the appliance and interior accessories with a cloth and lukewarm water, using commercially available dishwashing detergents if desired.
    • Wipe dry with fresh water and rub dry after cleaning.
    • The condenser at the back of the appliance should be cleaned once a year with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to prevent dust accumulation and maintain energy efficiency.
    • Check and clear the water drain hole on the rear wall using the green peg provided in the accessories pack.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual includes a troubleshooting section to help users identify and rectify minor faults, such as the appliance not working, cooling excessively, not cooling sufficiently, defrosting water overflowing, the cabinet front heating up, condensation on the outside, or unusual water flowing sounds. For more serious malfunctions, users are advised to contact a specialist dealer or local Service Force Centre.
  • LED Light Replacement: Instructions are provided for safely changing the LED light bulb, which involves switching off the appliance, unplugging it, undoing a screw, removing the LED Light Board cover, changing the bulb, and refitting the cover.
  • Disposal: The appliance is marked with a symbol indicating it is Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and should not be disposed of with household or commercial waste. It must be recycled according to the WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) to minimize environmental impact. Local authorities should be contacted for information on correct disposal.
