14 Click Across All Columns and Side Heads, then click Update All.
Now you’re ready to format the entries in the table of contents.
Formatting the entries
Formatting a table of contents is a twofold process:
• In this section, you’ll format the entries as you would any paragraphs.
• In the next section, you’ll make changes that affect the contents of the entries, instead
of their formats.
Formatting a generated file takes some time, but you need to do it only once for the book
because FrameMaker 7.0 reuses your formatting each time you generate the file. You can
also use the formatted table of contents from one book as a template for others, so the
investment you make in formatting a table of contents pays off quickly.
Changing paragraph formats
First, you’ll change the paragraph formats of the entries.
1 Click in the first entry (the preface title, Introduction).
2 In the Paragraph Designer, display the Default Font properties.
3 Change the Family to:
• (Windows) AGaramond-Semibold, Weight Regular.
• (Mac OS and UNIX) Adobe Garamond, Weight Semibold.
